Our Legacy

Founded in 1896 as St. Andrew's College, Oyo, Emmanuel Alayande College of Education was elevated to university status in December 2022 by Gov. Seyi Makinde.

Today, EAUED serves over 5,000 students with diverse degree programs, upholding a legacy of educational excellence that spans more than a century.

The Alumni Relations Unit, established on June 5, 2018, serves as a vital link between the university and its graduates, fostering lifelong connections and supporting institutional development.

Recent Success Stories

April 2025

The EAUED Alumni Association donated ₦1.5 million to reward the top 10 academic performers. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Olanrewaju Olaniyan commended the recipients for their excellence.

August 2019

Over 3,000 final-year students were inducted into the alumni family at the BOT Hall, School of Science. Mr. Bimbo Alagbe (Class of 1987), MD of Western Hotels, delivered an inspiring lecture.

June 2018

The Alumni Relations Unit was officially established to strengthen ties between the university and its graduates, marking a new era of alumni engagement.
