VC visits Chairman, Bond Pharmaceuticals

In continuation of his Management's efforts at establishing bonds between individuals, companies, groups, communities and institutions towards taking Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo to greater heights, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan recently led a team to pay homage to the Chairman and founder, Bond Pharmaceuticals, Awe, Asiwaju 'Debo Omotoso at his Awe residence. The programme was packaged by the Directorate of Inter-Community and Alumni Relations (ICAR) under the leadership of Dr. Olurotimi Akanni.
Speaking during the visit, the University Chief Executive stated that the visit was to appreciate the philanthropic contributions of Asiwaju Debo Omotoso to humanity. "I bring warm greetings to you from the Council, Management, and members of the University community, Sir. We are here today to formally pay homage to you as a community leader and business mogul. We recognise your philanthropic gestures over the years to communities, which reflected in the establishment of your company in Awe, Oyo State. I am not unaware of your relationship with our institution when it was a College of Education. It shall further be our delight to have you join us in our new journey towards taking the new University to greater heights. We are open to collaborations between our institution and your company Sir, and I can assure you that we shall guard whatever you do for our institution jealously. On behalf of the entire members of the University community and this team, I appreciate you and madam for this hospitality, Sir", submitted the University helmsman.
Responding, the Chairman, Bond Pharmaceuticals, Asiwaju Debo Omotoso expressed his delight at receiving the Vice-Chancellor and members of his team. "I am overwhelmed with this visit as it means a lot to me. I have always received visitors from institutions and groups, but this visit is different. This is because of the high-powered delegation involved, led by the VC. I have been a friend of the institution since her days as a College. I am very sure your visit will enhance collaboration between my firm and your institution. We have been involved in philanthropism, and I assure you we shall always support your institution in whatever way we can. I thank you for this honour and wish your institution the very best", stated the world renowned pharmacist.
In his appreciation message, the Director, Directorate of Inter-Community and Alumni Relations, Dr. Olurotimi Akanni appreciated the revered octogenarian for creating time to receive the Vice-Chancellor and his team. "You have by this singular hospitality further registered your true love as a lover of our institution and a community leader. Agba yin a tunbo d'ale o", he prayed. He specially singled Chief (Mrs.) Omotoso as a woman of substance who facilitated the visit and finally wished the family well.
