Informed by a deep-seated respect for the intellectual and spiritual heritage of Islam, the discipline seeks to engage faculty and students in a scholarly inquiry that delves beyond conventional interpretations, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills. The philosophy underscores a commitment to pluralism and contextual sensitivity, recognizing the varied manifestations of Islamic thought across temporal and geographic contexts. Moreover, it emphasizes interdisciplinary engagement and the cultivation of graduates equipped to navigate contemporary challenges while upholding Islamic ethical principles.
