About The Bursar
Mr. Olawole Adebayo Ojetola, the pioneer Bursar was born on June 20, 1967. He started his primary school education at St. Paul's Primary School, Yemetu, Ibadan between 1972-1978 and Lagelu Grammar School Ibadan for his West African School Certificate (WASSCE) between 1978-1983. He got his Higher School Certificate (HSC) from the Government College, Ibadan in 1986. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife (1991) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) with options in Finance from the University of Ibadan (2003) respectively. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA); an Associate of Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACIS); Certified Data Privacy Solution Engineer (CDPSE) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).
Mr. 'Wole Ojetola started his working career at Eleyele Jericho Idi-Ishin Community Bank Ltd as an Accountant in October, 1993 and was there till January, 1996. He thereafter joined the Oyo State civil service as an Accountant II with the Oyo State Primary Education Board, Ibadan in February, 1996 and rose through the ranks to the position of a Principal Accountant in August, 2004 till December, 2005. In January, 2006, Mr. Ojetola was redeployed to the Office of the Accountant General as a Deputy Director (General, Inspectorate and Monitoring Services Section, Ibadan) and was on that till November, 2006.
Upon the establishment of the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo-Ora, Olawole Ojetola was seconded as the Acting Bursar of the institution in December, 2006 and served in that position until April, 2007. He thereafter rose through the ranks and became the Director of Internal Audit of the institution in October, 2016 until March 25, 2019 when he was announced as the Bursar of The Polytechnic, Ibadan. He rounded off his 5-year term on March 24, 2024.
As his journey continues, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, the Governing Council of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo announced the renowned accountant and technocrat, Olawole Adebayo Ojetola as the Pioneer Bursar of the institution. As he assumes duty today, it is our prayer to God Almighty to work with him and lead him aright in the task of setting enviable standards with other management members for the University.
