I am Dr Akano Ishaq Jamiu, a senior lecturer in the University and current Acting Head in the department. My academic experience spans over two decades in the discipline of Arabic and Islamic studies.

The Department of Islamic and Arabic Studies, headed by Dr. I. A. Jamiu, offers comprehensive programs in Islamic and Arabic Studies. The department is dedicated to imparting knowledge of Islamic theology, history, culture, and the Arabic language. It aims to develop scholars and educators who can contribute to the understanding and propagation of Islamic knowledge. Graduates are prepared for careers in education, religious leadership, and cultural institutions, promoting interfaith dialogue and scholarly research at Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo.
