The EAUED Printery is the official printing and publishing unit of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education (EAUED), Oyo. It was established to provide high-quality printing services to support the academic, administrative, and outreach needs of the university. The printery handles a wide range of print materials including academic publications, examination materials, official documents, promotional items, and more ensuring confidentiality, efficiency, and professionalism in all outputs.

The current Director of the EAUED Printery is Dr. Aminat Aderonke AGORO, a distinguished scholar and administrator known for her attention to detail, organizational excellence, and commitment to service delivery. Dr. Agoro leads the printery with a vision to enhance its capacity and broaden its impact within and beyond the university environment.

The EAUED Printery is a key commercial and service unit within the Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo. Similar to the Water and Bread ventures, it is part of the University Business Units designed to provide essential technical services to the campus while acting as a revenue generator for the institution.

1. Core Purpose

The Printery was established to centralize the university's printing needs, ensuring that official documents are produced securely and professionally. Its primary objectives include:

• Security & Confidentiality: Printing sensitive materials like examination papers, student result sheets, and official university certificates in a controlled environment to prevent leakages.

• Cost Efficiency: Reducing the amount of money the university spends on external printing contracts by handling high-volume jobs internally.

• Student Support: Providing affordable printing and binding services for students' final-year projects, theses, and course manuals.

2. Services Rendered

The EAUED Printery is equipped to handle both small-scale and industrial-grade printing tasks, including:

• Academic Materials: Production of course handbooks, laboratory manuals, and lecture notes.

• Administrative Stationery: Printing of university letterheads, envelopes, file jackets, and official registers.

• Publication Services: Helping staff and faculty members print academic journals, books, and inaugural lecture booklets.

• Promotional Items: Designing and printing posters, banners, flyers, and programs for university events like Convocation and Matriculation.

• Examination Materials: Production of standardized answer booklets and OMR sheets for internal and external examinations.

3. Strategic Importance

The Printery serves as a vital part of the university's Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) strategy. Beyond serving the university staff and students, it often takes on external contracts from the Oyo community, local schools, and government offices, positioning itself as a professional printing press in the region.

4. Integration with Education

For students in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts or those in Vocational and Technical Education, the Printery serves as a practical site to observe industrial-scale graphic design and printing technology, bridging the gap between classroom theory and real-world production.
