Senate

The Senate of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, is the highest academic decision-making body of the University. It is responsible for regulating and supervising all academic activities, including teaching, research, examinations, and the award of degrees and other academic distinctions.

The Senate ensures that academic standards are maintained across all faculties, departments, and programmes of the University. It deliberates on matters relating to curriculum development, admission requirements, examination regulations, academic policies, and the general advancement of scholarship within the institution.

Membership of the Senate is drawn from the principal officers of the University, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, Directors of academic units, Professors representing departments, and elected representatives of the Congregation. The Senate operates under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor, who serves as the Chairman, while the Registrar acts as the Secretary to the Senate.

Through its collective expertise and experience, the Senate plays a vital role in shaping the academic direction and maintaining the quality and integrity of the University's educational programmes.
