Alayande Varsity VC congratulates defunct Alayande College of Education Registrar, Teslim Adediran, EAUED Senior Lecturer, Aminat Ahmed over appointments as LAUTECH and TECH-U Council Members 

 

The Vice-Chancellor, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan has congratulated the duo of Alhaji Teslim Ladimeji Adediran and Dr. Aminat Adekemi Ahmed over their recent appointments into the Governing Councils of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso and Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan respectively by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE. 

 

According to the University Chief Executive, their appointments are testaments to the great name which Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo is known with. "I congratulate the former Registrar of the defunct Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, Alhaji Teslim Ladimeji Adediran and our Senior Lecturer in the Department of Integrated Science, Dr. Aminat Adekemi Ahmed on their recent appointments into the Governing Councils of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso and Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, Ibadan. As a Management, we are indeed delighted to celebrate you both. Your services to our great institution have paid off as these appointments are just a tip of the iceberg. I join you in thanking our amiable Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE for finding you worthy of these appointments. On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, Staff and Students, I felicitate you both and wish you well in the State assignments," stated the Eruwa-born Economist. 

 

Alhaji Teslim Ladimeji Adediran retired as Registrar at the defunct Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo on 18 August, 2020. An accomplished technocrat, administrator, patriot and public servant, Alh. Teslim Ladimeji Adediran, J.P bagged a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communication (Second Class Honours Upper Division) in 1982 from the University of Lagos, Akoka. He observed the one-year mandatory NYSC programme in Kano State between 1982 and 1983. In 1996, he moved to the University of Ibadan, Ibadan where he wrapped up his higher educational pursuits with a Master’s Degree in Communication Arts in 1997. His constant journey to self-actualization set him on a path to knowledge acquisition which led him to seeking out a Certificate in Computer and Internet Training from the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo in October, 2006. During his career, he served in all sections of the Registry. 

 

Dr. Aminat Adekemi Ahmed, a  Senior Lecturer in the Department of Integrated Science, has over 15 years experience as a teacher and researcher. She attended Abiodun Atiba Memorial Institute, Oyo 1983 – 1988 where she obtained her WASSCE; St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo 1989 – 1992 for her NCE in Biology/Chemistry. She thereafter proceeded to the University of Ado-Ekiti, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria between 1997 – 2002 and obtained a Bachelor of Science Education Degree in Integrated Science. Not satisfied, Dr. Ahmed pursued her Master's degree in Teacher Education (Science Education) at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan between 2005 – 2007; Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo 2011 for a Diploma in Computer Studies and finally capped it up with a Ph.D in Science Education from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, in 2021.  

 

Dr. Aminat Adekemi Ahmed has attended many seminars and conferences both locally and internationally and has published in many reputable journals.
