The EAUED Consultancy Directorate is the professional services and outreach arm of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education (EAUED), Oyo. It was established to harness the academic and professional expertise within the university to offer high-quality consultancy services, training, and research support to public and private sectors.

The current and Pioneer of this directorate is Dr. Rasheed Mutairu Akande is the current Director of the EAUED Consultancy Directorate. A seasoned academic, researcher, and administrator, Dr. Akande brings decades of experience in teacher education, curriculum development, and institutional leadership.

The Directorate of Consultancy Services at Emmanuel Alayande University of Education (EAUED), Oyo, is the professional arm through which the university provides expert services to the public, government agencies, and private organizations.

While the Water Venture and Bookshop focus on products, the Consultancy Directorate focuses on human expertise and institutional knowledge.

1. Core Functions

The Directorate serves as a bridge between academic research and the community. Its primary goals are:

• Capacity Building: Organizing workshops, seminars, and short-term certificate courses for teachers, civil servants, and private-sector workers.

• Technical Advisory: Providing expert advice on educational policy, curriculum development, and institutional management to the Oyo State Government and other bodies.

• Professional Certification: Partnering with professional bodies to run conversion programs or specialized training that helps workers gain new qualifications.

• Research & Surveys: Conducting data collection, social impact assessments, and educational research for NGOs and government ministries.

2. Leadership and Coordination

The Directorate is typically led by a Director, who coordinates with the various Faculties (Arts, Science, Social Sciences, etc.) to tap into the expertise of the university’s professors and senior lecturers. This ensures that when a client hires the "Consultancy," they are getting the best academic and technical minds in that specific field.

3. Key Service Areas

The consultancy services are usually categorized into:

• Educational Consultancy: School management training, teacher recruitment screening, and pedagogy workshops.

• Business & Entrepreneurship: Helping small businesses with feasibility studies, financial planning, and management strategy.

• ICT & Technical Services: Training in data science, informatics, and software usage for corporate organizations.

• Language & Cultural Services: Specialized training in Yoruba language proficiency and cultural orientation (often through the YLP unit).

4. Strategic Importance (IGR)

Along with the university ventures, the Consultancy Directorate is a major pillar of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). By commercializing the knowledge within the university, EAUED is able to fund research projects and maintain campus infrastructure without relying solely on student fees or government subventions.
